Here in the island you can rent a car, we have a lot of good and recognized car rental agencies. Please don't even consider driving in the San Juan Metro Area during the rush hours (weekdays from 7:00 am to 9:00 am and from 4:00pm to 7:00pm) The rest of the time and the rest of the island are no problem. It can be a delight to be able to venture on your own outside of San Juan, but beware: speed limits are indicated in miles per hour, and distances are marked in kilometers. (Que pasa magazine)
